Who is Lee Alexander?
Lee Alexander is one of Arizona’s most versatile Country and Cowboy Western singer/songwriters. As a vocalist, his range, projection and breath control are unmatched in the genre. Lee’s rich, full voice, versatile playing style, and ability to perform literally hundreds of songs from memory, has earned him the respect of his peers and the admiration of his fans.
Lee spent most of his childhood in Central Arizona, and although he’s performed for audiences from all over the world, he still calls Arizona home. Since his return to Arizona in the 1990s, Lee has become a favorite at local Southwestern-themed restaurants and western-themed venues, including Rawhide Western town & Steakhouse and Apacheland Movie Ranch. Lee joins the rugged spirit of the Old West to the excitement of the New to form an exciting, entertaining vocal and musical presentation.
Lee has played and sung Country and Cowboy Western music for nearly 20 years, and has worked with some of the finest artists in both genres. He has performed with Glen Campbell, Tanya Tucker, Buck Owens, Alabama, Rex Allen Jr., Johnny Western and many others. He occasionally performs with Hollywood actor/singer Mike Moroff at western festivals around the country.
A true musician, Lee Alexander doesn’t use background tracks. He doesn’t need them. The distinctively rich sound of his Alvarez 12-String guitar, complimented by the expressive, lively rhythms of his custom programmed Alesis SR-16 drum synthesizer and Digitech Vocalist harmonizer, give Lee a vibrant and full live sound and a level of musical versatility unmatched by any other solo or duo act in the Southwest.
Lee’s wife, Sandi, began performing with him on weekends in June, 2006. Sandi plays a 4-string acoustic bass guitar and provides additional backup vocals, adding to Lee’s already formidable sound to form an entertaining and delightful musical Duo presentation.
